Stop the rainbow
I cannot believe it anymore.
I'm taunted with a key
that won't unlock
a prison door.
Somewhere outside
I know there are people
who discover broken glasses,
and in secret
take their pieces
and fly them away.
The moonless night
calls for a heavy snow.
The pieces of glass
hold out their arms
and say,
"Is this all that you will do for us?
We're in pieces with no shelter."
